The 2025 Halloween build at the Riverton Shadow Estate. Guests entered the Sleep Grid—a tech-noir world where technology haunts the subconscious—for a free, family-friendly, interactive musical experience on select nights in October 2025.
The front yard became a small outdoor theater: a projected story on the house, neon columns framing the walk, and a character or two watching from the grass. Everything was built to be walked up to, not just watched.
At the center of it all was a custom console. Guests pressed start, then used the touchscreen to move through the experience—building their own Dream Walker avatar and battling the digital nightmares that showed up on the wall.
V-7, the build's resident robot, kept an eye on the lawn with a working screen face, while the lighting rig—glowing orbs, neon triangles, and spotlights—stayed in sync with the projection and the score.
A driving retro score, unique characters, and cutting-edge interactive elements carried the story. Each visitor left with a personalized digital postcard as a memento of their trip through the Sleep Grid.
Like every year at the Shadow Estate, it was free and open to everyone. Seeing a crowd hang around for one more run—and kids lining up to try the console—was the best part.
